Welcome to my Movie Diary.
I am absolutely in love with movies. The whole concept. I love that when watching a movie- it's almost like you escape into this whole other world for an hour and a half. I love how a character in a movie can immortalize a look. Or can bring to life the attitude of a culture.
I'm a huge movie fan. And a self proclaimed movie buff. So, I am going to be posting full movies, some favorite movie clips, and previews for up-and-comers.
So, Watch. Comment. Enjoy.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. This movie came out in 1998, with heavy-hitter actors like Gwyneth Paltrow, Ethan Hawke and Robert De Niro. The story is rich, daunting, heart-wrenching yet hopeful all in a whymsical setting. The score will stir your soul (which is maybe why Kanye West sampled it on his last album), and you are left with an understanding for life's trials and tribulations and of the power of love.
Here are a couple of my favorite parts (but definitely check out the whole movie):

This is an amazing movie from 1987. Starring Timothy Hutton and the stunning Kelly McGillis.
The cameos by rock stars Neil Young, Ric Ocasek and Tom Petty, the question of who played Emmet? (with no actor being billed for the part), and the incredible music of the film, "We've Never Danced" and Sly And The Family Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay" just further enhance the movie- and make it one of my favorites of all time.
This greatly overlooked movie has a cult of followers, who analyze every detail of the movie, proclaiming they know who the mysterious Emmet is played by, and are commenting regularly on Amazon.com to please produce a DVD version of this movie. Here are a couple clips & montages. And you can watch the whole movie on my YouTube page. I have a playlist called Made In Heaven movie. Just press "Play All" and enjoy. Let me know what you think. http://www.youtube.com/user/Flashlit
